    The Faculty of Science, Safarik University Kosice, (SUK) currently offers a variety of study programmes (currently with 1600 registered students) in science (mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, geography, informatics, general ecology) as well masters programmes in science teachers training.

  • Università di Palermo

    Palermo University, with two centuries of life behind it, is today a consolidated cultural, scientific, and didactic presence throughout central western Sicily.     The Leibniz Institute for Science Education (IPN) was founded in 1966 as a research centre for science education. As an institute of the Leibniz Association with a nationwide function, IPN receives basic funds from the federal government and the commission of German states (Länder). IPN is also affiliated to the University of Kiel. The institute’s mission is to develop and promote science education through research. Its research therefore deals with the full range of issues concerning teaching and learning in the sciences, inside and outside schools.

    The Foundation Centre for Microcomputer Applications (CMA) has been established in 1987 in Amsterdam. CMA has as main goals to enrich science and technology education with innovative and attractive ICT products and to stimulate the use of ICT in education. Furthermore CMA aims to contribute in general to science education by a variety of activities. A main focus always has been the enabling of science education that stimulates active roles by the students in research-kind of activities.

    Jagiellonian University is the oldest university in Poland, established in 1364. Within the university the JU Teachers Training Centre has been developed to provide generic courses in the areas of pedagogy, psychology, philosophy, while the faculties within the university are responsible for individual subject methodology and organization of teaching practice. JU has a long tradition of chemistry teacher training with over 200 years experience.

    Charles University is the oldest university in central Europe (founded 1348). Such resources include Science and Technology in Action - a teaching resource for second level science education, produced in partnership with the Department of Education and Science, industry, and teacher organisations. We also produce Spirit of Enterprise, a teaching resource for second level business and enterprise curricula. These products address critical educational needs as recognised at European and government level.
